ÂìÒϸ£Àûµ¼º½ Council elections will take place across ÂìÒϸ£Àûµ¼º½ and Bute in October 2022. Taking part in these elections - whether as a voter or a candidate - gives you opportunities to have your say in local representation and community life.
Nominations for election close at 4pm on Thursday 8 September 2022 - so there’s still time to get involved. You can stand for election as a ÂìÒϸ£Àûµ¼º½ Councillor if you’re 16 or over, live within your ÂìÒϸ£Àûµ¼º½ Council area and are listed on the electoral register for local government elections for the area where you live.
ÂìÒϸ£Àûµ¼º½ Councils need people from all walks of life and of all ages to carry out their role as an effective local voice and play their part in making their local area a better place to live.
